As a Gap Year (Junior Analyst) at the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF), you will be involved in all processes to build our investment portfolio in the European bioeconomy and circular economy. During this time, we will introduce you to the following methods and put them under your responsibility:
Screening relevant sources for attractive investment opportunities

• Developing data analyses, investment hypotheses, and financial models for new investment areas
• Supporting our investment managers in deal flow and business plan analyses
• Supporting our investment manager in financial transactions and ongoing portfolio management
• Elaborating specific topics for internal knowledge database and deep-dive workshops
• Co-Administration of our LP Reporting Platform

THAT´S WHY YOU´RE A GOOD FIT FOR US:

 You are a self-motivated personality who enjoys researching technical and financial matters. A hunting instinct to source and identify attractive investment opportunities is part of your DNA.

You have completed your bachelor's degree in natural sciences, chemistry, process engineering, finance, or business. and you want to gain one year of working experience before starting your master studies.

You are passionate about venture capital, start-ups, innovative technologies, and the bioeconomy.

Ideally, you already have experience working in a start-up, business development, consulting, or private equity as a working student or intern.

Curiosity and continuous learning, as well as seeking advice from our experienced team members, will drive your personal and professional development.

You are used to working independently and bringing your initiative to a team.

Fluent English isn´t a challenge for you and additionally, you speak one more European language - this would be fantastic. You have grown up with MS Office tools and can use them while sleeping.
